Walking for Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness Week 2024 took place from 13 to 19 May and focused on the benefits of moving more for our mental health.
Our pupils travelled to Buttermere in the Lake District for a mindfulness walk, to reap the benefits for their mental and physical well-being. We encouraged pupils to focus on each of their 5 senses whilst walking in this tranquil landscape.
This exercise helps to provide focused awareness, and to help pupils bring their thoughts to the present. This in turn can help to reduce stress and anxiety.
